Hi! I’m Lewis Franklin – owner/operator of Diamond Cut Detailing. I’ve always had a passion for cars, ever since I was young and this has now spread into a passion for getting them looking at their absolute best. I started with the basics of valeting, and have worked my way up to being able to offer the very best services available in the area, having trained with some of the very best in the industry.
I undertook a 3-day training course which is accredited by the IMI to build on the skills I had self-taught. The course was undertaken to further my knowledge in advanced machine polishing technique, wet sanding and ceramic coatings. I’m now classed as a IMI qualified automotive detailer.
I’ve also completed two days training with one of the UK’s best detailers, JP Details from YouTube. I opted for these extra two days with JP to again, hone in on the skills on a more personal level. The one to one course was specifically tailored around the detailing services that I offer on a mobile basis. So, with both of these training courses behind me, has put me on the right track to succsessville!
Mobile Valeting & Detailing
The mobile valet and detail service is self-sufficient with its own water and power supply covering the whole of Exeter and the surrounding areas. The mobile service provides a convenient service at your home or work, where I’m able to carry out all services. If there’s a bad weather forecast for your particular day, I’ll bring a 3m x 4.5m gazebo, to offer shelter from the elements, to ensure that your vehicle gets professionally treated.
Diamond Cut Detailing are comprehensively insured for public liability, product liability and vehicle damage. All of the products that I use have been tried and tested over a number of years and are all used in conjunction with professional equipment. My favourite brands are Pyramid Car Care due to their ceramic coatings being perfect to apply on a mobile basis. Auto finesse, Wax Planet, ValetPRO, Meguiars and Rupes, mainly provide the rest. These products are of a premium nature and have proved to be safe, on all surfaces that are found on a vehicle.
PVD Trade Association
PVD are the national professional valeters and detailers trade association and before you become accepted as a member, you have to be vetted. I’ve proven my skills, insurance documents and previous satisfied customers, to meet their acceptance guidelines.
